Much as we all aspire to having straight teeth that line up next to each other beautifully, many of us go through our lives without making that wish come true. For many of us, our teeth didn’t have the right degree of wonkiness to qualify for straightening on the NHS, which uses its limited funding for serious bite issues. So, we have gone through life thinking that, now that we’re grown up, the window for effective teeth straightening has closed.
Thankfully, nothing could be further from the truth. The fact is that it doesn’t matter how old you are, you can still get your teeth straightened. And, if that wasn’t great news in itself, you don’t even have to have clunky metal braces to do it. Instead, you can have invisible braces in Luton.
Invisible braces in Luton are an innovative step forward from traditional metal bracket and wire systems. This is a special kind of braces that are not permanently fixed to your teeth for months, maybe years, on end. There are no brackets and wires to create painful areas inside your mouth. And, not only will they not be the first thing people notice about you, people probably won’t notice them at all. No wonder Invisalign is one of the best known and most popular straightening systems in the world.
Here’s how Invisalign works:
We kick off with you coming to Vogue Dental Care for an initial consultation for invisible braces in Luton. If we think Invisalign will solve your misalignment issues, we next make digital scans of your teeth. Hundreds of tiny photos create a 3D computer model of how your teeth need to move them into a position that creates a beautiful smile for you. You can see the end result on the screen.
Next, we email all the information to the Invisalign laboratory, where they 3D print your custom-fit aligners, each incrementally different from the previous one. The pressure from each aligner moves your teeth a tiny step over the next 7-10 days. When the pressure wears off, you are ready for the next one. The aligners, made of rigid resin, are so transparent and so thin that they are as good as invisible.
What most of our patients who have wonky teeth want is to be able to get them straightened without having to go through an ordeal of months and months of feeling self-conscious every time they open their mouths to smile or talk. Wearing braces is to be expected of teenagers, so we don’t pay them much attention, but seeing an adult with braces on is much more unusual and people can get rather fascinated by them and forget not to stare.
It may only be a few minutes of gazing for the beholder, but for the braces wearer, who may have to endure being stared at many times a day, it can be excruciatingly uncomfortable. That’s why, at Vogue Dental Care, we are accredited providers of Invisalign in Luton, a way of straightening teeth that avoids having to have brackets and wires fixed to them.
Instead of brackets and wires, Invisalign in Luton uses ultra-thin (0.3mm), clear plastic mouth guard-style aligners, which snap on over your teeth and pretty much disappear from view. These are great if you are self-conscious, or if you have a public-facing job that means you will be face-to-face with lots of different people every day.
In Luton, Invisalign aligners work by having pressure points built in to the aligners. Once we have detailed measurements of your teeth and have worked out how they need to move to become aligned, a series of aligners are 3D printed for you. Each one, which you will wear for about 7-10 days, will nudge your teeth one tiny step closer to their correct position. It’s hard to say how many you will need, but, on average, treatment takes a year.
As well as being almost invisible, Invisalign has the advantage of being removable. You take your aligners out every time you want to eat, or to drink something other than plain water. This may sound like a hassle, but they pop out pretty easily with a removal tool, and you still have the freedom to eat whatever you want. You must wear your aligners for 20-22 hours a day to stay on track with your treatment schedule.
Want a straighter, more attractive smile, but hate the thought of braces? A few decades ago, metal braces were the only teeth straightening option available. Luckily, dentistry has evolved considerably since then and now patients can have their teeth aligned quickly and inconspicuously with invisible braces.
At Vogue Dental, we offer clear, invisible braces in Luton that no one will know you are wearing them. Our range of teeth straightening treatments will not interfere with your lifestyle. Whether you wish to have fixed or removable braces, you can choose from Invisalign, Six Month Smiles, Cfast and the Inman Aligner. All these treatments work differently but have something in common: they can straighten your teeth quickly, effectively and discreetly.
Six Month Smiles
Many adults are embarrassed when they smile, particularly if their teeth are crooked or crowded. This results in the desire to have straighter teeth.
Made from clear brackets and white or transparent wires, Six Month Smiles is an innovative alternative to wearing metal braces. These braces are fixed on the front teeth and help them move into their right position over six months or less, without altering your bite. They are ideal for patients who wish to have their teeth straightened for a special occasion.
Just like Six Month Smiles, Cfast braces are used for moving the front teeth into their correct position within a small period of time. Unlike conventional braces, Cfast braces apply less pressure on the teeth, but can reposition them faster for a shorter treatment time. Cfast braces use tooth-coloured wires and brackets and are more discreet than traditional, metal braces.
Invisalign is an innovative teeth straightening treatment that is used to correct a wide range of dental concerns, including crooked teeth, gaps and crowded mouths. Invisalign consists of clear, removable, plastic aligners that do not interfere with your lifestyle.
The Inman aligner is a removable teeth straightening device designed by Donald Inman. It is designed specifically to align the front teeth within a few weeks with the help of an opposing coil mechanism.

Invisalign is becoming one of the most popular teeth straightening treatments available, as it enables patients to finally get beautifully straight smiles without bulky metal braces. However, even if you’re sure that it is the right treatment for you, you probably still have plenty of questions and that’s where our dentists here at Vogue Dental Care can help.
Will Invisalign affect my diet?
One of the best parts about Invisalign in Luton is that it allows our patients to eat whatever they want during treatment. All you need to do is take out your aligners before you tuck in. However, there are a few little things you can do with your diet that will make your treatment go a little smoother.
Firstly, we recommend you try to only drink water when you have your trays in, as coloured liquids can stain the trays. Drinking plenty of water when you’re wearing your trays is an easy way to keep them clean and stain-free. Also, it’s best to cut down on any sticky foods that could cling to your teeth and become trapped against the trays, leading to increased tooth decay. Fortunately, these are all minor adjustments compared to what most people have to do with traditional braces.
Will Invisalign change how I brush my teeth?
The good news is you’ll be able to brush and floss your teeth like normal with Invisalign in Luton because you can simply take your trays out before you begin. The only change in your routine is that you’ll need to spend a little time cleaning your aligners. Cleaning them will be very similar to brushing your teeth, but you may need to use a different brush/toothpaste to ensure that you don’t damage the trays. Our dentists will let you know the best products to use when you begin your treatment, so you can keep both your teeth and trays looking great for your whole treatment time.
Is there an age restriction for Invisalign in Luton?
We normally recommend Invisalign for our patients over 18 years, but fortunately, there is no upper-age limit. This is great news for our adult patients who previously thought it was too late for them to straighten their teeth.
Maybe, after years of trying to ignore your crooked, crowded, or gapped teeth that you’ve decided enough is enough and that you’re ready to get them straightened. At this point, some of our patients here at Vogue Dental Care decide that, as they are already self-conscious about their teeth, the last thing they want to do is bring more attention to them by getting noticeable metal braces. However, thanks to invisible braces in Luton, you can now get the straighter smile you’ve always wanted without a mouthful of metal. With invisible braces in Luton, you’ll get the best when it comes to appearance, comfort and efficiency with just one treatment, known as Invisalign.
What is Invisalign?
Invisalign is a great choice for your invisible braces in Luton. They are a revolutionary dental treatment that completely does away with the traditional wire and bracket system. Rather, they use a series of custom-designed clear plastic aligner trays to gradually straighten the teeth.
You’ll simply need to wear a set of trays for around 20-22 hours a day and after about two weeks of this, you’ll move onto the next set in your sequence. Each set of aligners will bring you closer to that perfectly straight smile.
Invisible braces vs. metal braces
As the name implies, Invisalign invisible braces trays are practically invisible on the teeth, meaning they won’t alter your appearance while you’re wearing them. Basically, the only thing people will see will be the beautiful results.
Invisible braces in Luton are also removable, meaning your aligners slip easily on and off of the teeth, so you can take them out whenever you need to eat or brush. Because of this, it’ll be much easier for you to take care of your teeth than if you had traditional metal braces and you also won’t need to alter your diet.
Because Invisalign invisible braces don’t have to be consistently tightened, you’ll only need to come in for regular checks every six weeks, which is much less frequent than with metal braces. Plus, treatment can typically be completed in just 8-18 months, which is just a fraction of the time needed for traditional fixed metal braces.
In the past, the only real option when considering straightening your teeth was to have traditional fixed braces. Although these braces are a tried and tested method of getting straighter teeth, they have their drawbacks.
Here at Vogue Dental Care in Luton, Invisalign is offered as an alternative to traditional fixed braces. Many people may have heard of this innovative treatment. It’s renowned for its ease of use and flexibility.
Invisalign fits around your lifestyle, rather than getting the way of it, as traditional braces can.
Re-thinking teeth straightening
In Luton, Invisalign works on the same principle as traditional braces. Both treatments apply gentle pressure to the teeth to reposition them over time. And that is where the similarities end. Traditional braces rely on metal brackets and wires that are securely fitted to the teeth and adjusted to encourage the teeth to move.
Invisalign doesn’t use metal components. The treatment consists of a series of custom-moulded tooth trays that are slightly different in shape from one to the next. It is this slight difference in shape that encourages the teeth to gently move into alignment over time.
The whole treatment is planned before it starts because the plastic trays need to be manufactured ahead of time. When you have received your aligners you’ll only need to return to the dentist every six to eight weeks for them to check on your progress.
Because the aligners are made from a smooth plastic, they are much more comfortable to wear than traditional braces. They are also almost completely invisible as they are made from transparent plastic.
Invisalign aligners also benefit from being removable, making them much more practical. When it comes to care of your dental hygiene you simply remove the aligners and go about cleaning your teeth as usual. This also makes mealtimes much less of a hassle. If you had traditional braces as a teenager, you’ll remember what a pain it was to clean out the brackets and wires after each meal. With Invisalign, you simply remove the aligners and eat!
If you’re looking for a tooth straightening option that fits around your lifestyle, then Invisalign could be for you.
In the last 20 years or so, developments in dental materials and techniques have changed the face of dentistry forever, giving dentists many more options to offer than back in the 1990s.
Back then, some of these treatments did exist, but they were so innovative, and therefore expensive, that it was really only film stars, models and royals who had the money for a bright, sparkling, white smile. Cosmetic dentistry cost a fortune and was only available in large cities.
But now at Vogue Dental Care, we use these modern techniques and equipment to straighten teeth, which is why we offer Invisalign in Luton.
In Luton, Invisalign is used to correct mild to moderate misalignments such as crooked, overcrowded or gappy teeth. Once seen as hardly worth bothering about by dentists, in fact such problems made some people so self-conscious that they would hide their smiles behind their hands, never smile at all, or turn away from having their photo taken. Even more so now that it is becoming the norm to have good straight teeth.
Worrying about your smile is not a happy, spontaneous way to be, but you wouldn’t be alone in preferring it to living through months of conspicuous metal train track braces on your teeth, let alone having to fend off endless personal questions and stares from strangers. This is why your Vogue Dental Care team is delighted to offer Invisalign in Luton.
Unlike the brackets and wires we usually associate with brace systems, Invisalign is a series of incrementally different, very thin, clear 3D-printed plastic trays. These invisible aligners fit snugly over the teeth, and have carefully planned pressure points in them to gradually guide the teeth into alignment. You wear each tray for a week to 10 days by which time the feeling of pressure will have worn off, and then you move onto the next Invisalign tray, which will gently move the teeth on again.
What also makes Invisalign so popular, is that the aligners can be removed for cleaning. You can also eat, drink, and, if necessary, attend important occasions without wearing your aligners.
Why not come in for a consultation to find out if Invisalign in Luton will work for you?
If you have always wished that you had your slightly wonky teeth straightened as a teenager, don’t worry, it’s not too late. It’s becoming pretty normal for adults to have their teeth straightened with invisible braces in Luton.
Barely detectable braces have revolutionised teeth straightening in the last 20—30 years, allowing adults with mild misalignments to visit their dentist in Luton for invisible braces treatment.
You are not alone if you secretly yearn for a straighter teeth treatment that doesn’t involve the lengthy treatment times, discomfort and indignity associated with traditional ‘train track’ braces. Fortunately, as dental research and treatments advance, braces have become more refined with the realisation that heavy-duty ‘metal-mouth’ treatments are only necessary for people with serious bite problems to correct. Chances are that you have perfect bite, just wonky teeth. If this is so, you are the person that clear braces were made for.
At Vogue Dental Care, in Luton, invisible braces can perfect your smile more quickly and comfortably than ever before. We use an invisible braces system called Invisalign. Invisalign is a series of clear plastic trays, rather than the usual brackets and wire fixed to the teeth.
When you come to us for your initial consultation, we will thoroughly examine your mouth, taking many measurements with a scanner to show how your teeth are now, and how they will need to move in order to reach alignment. You will be able to see this on a computer screen. Many people find it very inspiring to see how their smile will look after treatment with invisible braces in Luton.
Once you have received and agreed to your written treatment plan, with costs, your Invisalign trays will be custom-made for you. You will need to wear each tray for a week to 10 days while its gentle forces guide your teeth into a new position. Then, you start using the next tray.
Because these invisible braces are very thin, transparent and fit so snugly over your teeth, no one can see them unless they look very closely. The trays are also removable, so you can eat and brush your teeth as normal.
Fewer and fewer people seem to have wonky teeth these days, but you never seem to see anyone wearing braces. Maybe you have even noticed some people in your life, a colleague, or someone in your local shop, having lovely straight teeth when you could have sworn they were wonky. How on earth did they do that without you ever seeing them wearing braces? Well, in Luton, Invisalign could be how.
At Vogue Dental Care in Luton, Invisalign is one of our favourite ways to get wonky teeth to line up, especially for adults. We say that because a lot of adults would far rather go through life with misaligned teeth that are hard to keep clean and fail before their time, than suffer the indignity and embarrassment of wearing metal train track braces. After all, it’s hard to be taken seriously when you have a railway junction where your teeth should be.
In Luton, Invisalign does away with all those problems, by being as good as invisible on your teeth.
The advantages of Invisalign
The Invisalign system doesn’t even use brackets and wires. Instead, it uses very thin aligners that look like mouth guards. The transparent plastic aligners are only 0.3 millimetres thick and all but disappear once you snap them on over your teeth. The casual observer, actually even your friends, won’t know you are using Invisalign unless you choose to tell them.
Even when you are eating, Invisalign can remain your secret. You just take out the aligner and store it in its case before meals. Then, you can eat whatever you like without worrying about stuck food. You just need to clean your teeth before you put your aligners back in. Also, you need to wear them for at least 20 hours a day if the carefully designed pressure points inside are going to nudge your teeth into alignment according to your schedule.
After your teeth reach alignment, they will need a bit of holding in place, which means wearing a retainer for about a year. Without one, teeth tend to drift around. You can get one bonded to the backs of your teeth or wear one at night.
If you have spent a whole lot of time and money on getting your teeth straightened with invisible braces in Luton, you want them to stay where you put them, don’t you?
But did you realise that treatment with invisible braces in Luton is only the first part of the treatment? Nearly every patient, then needs to be very diligent about step two, which is to wear a retainer.
When you come to us at Vogue Dental Care for invisible braces in Luton, we will carefully explain about retainers to you, but this forgotten part of the braces process is something we’d like to talk about here too.
What does a retainer do and why do I need one?
When teeth arrive at their final destination and are beautifully aligned in your mouth, there’s a good chance they could wander about. They are not used to being where they are and have not really settled into place yet, so they need to be held in position while the newly created bone around them becomes strong enough to hold them still. This takes about a year.
It would be awful to have gone through all that work, only to end up with crooked teeth again.
What do retainers look like?
There are different kinds of retainers: fixed, vacuum-formed and Hawley.
If you have a vacuum-formed retainer, which fits over your teeth, you only wear it some of the time. You can take it out for eating and cleaning. The retainer is transparent, so no one can see it. It may feel tight to start with.
A fixed retainer is bonded to the insides of your teeth and is not removable. This may be the sort for you if you are likely to forget to put the removable kind back in. You will need to keep it clean and make sure food doesn’t get trapped in it and cause decay.
The Hawley retainer is removable. A plastic section fits into the back of the teeth and a thin metal wire runs across the front. You may find it hard to speak with a Hawley retainer, to start.
