Crowns cover the whole surface of the tooth and are required when the damage to the tooth is too severe for a filling. They can be made from a number of different materials and at Vogue Dental Care we offer a variety of options including gold crowns, porcelain bonded to precious metal crowns and metal free crowns. This latter option is translucent and so won't show up on photos or in bright light or sun. Privately fitted crowns are guaranteed for 5 years but will usually last 10 – 15 years and even longer if the patient has regular checkups and hygiene treatments.
Bridges are perfect for people who don't want dentures or only have one or two teeth missing. They are made by crowning the teeth on either side of the gap and attaching a false tooth in the middle.
